FREQUENTLY ANSWERED QUESTIONS
Questions? There's a decent chance somebody else already asked it.
If you don't find what you're looking for here, head over to Contact FPVW and send us a message.
WHAT IS AN FPVW PRODUCTION RUN?
A Production Run is our way of releasing new designs without filling a warehouse with shirts we hope somebody eventually buys.
We open a group of designs for a limited ordering period. You choose your shirt and size, place your order, and when the Run closes, we order the blanks and start printing.
You order it. We make it.
WHY DON'T YOU KEEP ALL THE SHIRTS IN STOCK?
Because we'd rather spend our time making new things than staring at 37 unsold Small purple T-shirts.
Production Runs let us make what people actually order while keeping unnecessary inventory and waste to a minimum.
WHEN WILL MY SHIRT SHIP?
Current Production Run shirts are made after the ordering window closes.
Each Run will have its estimated production timeline listed on the product page.
Once the Run closes, we order the required blanks, print the shirts, cure them, inspect them, pack them and ship them.
You'll receive tracking information as soon as your order leaves FPVW.
WHY DOESN'T MY ORDER SHIP IMMEDIATELY?
Because it probably doesn't exist yet.
That's the whole idea.
When you order from an active Production Run, you're reserving a shirt in that production batch. Once ordering closes, we know exactly which sizes we need and production begins.
Items purchased from The Parts Bin are different—they've already been printed and are ready to ship.
DO YOU ACTUALLY PRINT THE SHIRTS?
Yep.
FPVW prints our Production Run shirts in-house using our DTG equipment.
We handle the printing, curing, inspection and packing ourselves.
No mystery print-on-demand warehouse.
WHAT IS DTG PRINTING?
DTG stands for Direct-to-Garment.
Instead of transferring a premade graphic onto the shirt, a DTG printer prints the artwork directly onto the fabric using specialized garment inks.
It allows us to produce detailed, full-color automotive artwork without having to print hundreds of identical shirts at once.
HOW DO I KNOW WHAT SIZE TO ORDER?
Check the Size Guide on the product page before ordering.
We provide measurements based on the actual blank shirt we're using.
The easiest method is to grab a shirt you already own that fits the way you like, lay it flat, measure it and compare those measurements to our chart.
If you're between sizes or prefer a looser fit, size up.
CAN I EXCHANGE MY SHIRT FOR ANOTHER SIZE?
We'll do our best, but size exchanges depend on available production extras.
Because we order blanks based primarily on what customers purchased, we don't necessarily have every design available in every size after production.
Please check the Size Guide carefully before ordering.
WHAT IF FPVW SENDS ME THE WRONG SHIRT?
That's on us.
If you receive the wrong item, wrong size, or something with a printing or manufacturing defect, contact us with your order number and we'll make it right.
CAN I CANCEL MY ORDER?
Contact us as soon as possible.
If your Production Run hasn't entered production, we may be able to help.
Once blanks have been ordered and production has started, cancellations may not be possible because your shirt is being produced specifically for that Run.
CAN I CHANGE MY SIZE AFTER ORDERING?
Contact us quickly.
If the Production Run is still open and production hasn't started, we may be able to update your size.
Once the Run enters production, changes become much more difficult.
WHAT IS THE PARTS BIN?
The Parts Bin is where the survivors live.
After a Production Run, we may have a few shirts remaining from production overruns, exchange inventory or extras we printed to cover possible problems.
Those shirts go into The Parts Bin.
Unlike Current Run items, Parts Bin shirts already exist and are ready to ship.
Quantities and sizes are limited.
When they're gone, they're actually gone.
WHAT IS THE PRODUCTION RUN ARCHIVE?
Every completed FPVW Production Run eventually moves into the Production Run Archive.
The Archive records past Runs, their designs and how many pieces were produced.
Think of it as FPVW's growing catalog of previous bad decisions.
Archive items are generally not available to purchase.
WILL AN OLD DESIGN EVER COME BACK?
Maybe.
We aren't going to swear that a design will never be printed again.
A particularly popular design might return for a special Production Run, anniversary release or customer-voted reprint.
But there's no guarantee.
If you really want something from the Current Run, ordering it while it's available is the safest bet.
ARE THE SHIRTS INDIVIDUALLY NUMBERED?
Not necessarily.
We may mark a Production Run with its final production quantity.
RUN 004
1 OF 83
FORT MYERS, FL
That means your shirt is one of only 83 produced in that Run. It doesn't mean your specific shirt is serial number 1.
Occasional special releases may be individually numbered.
CAN I ORDER A SHIRT FROM A CLOSED PRODUCTION RUN?
Usually, no.
Check The Parts Bin first. If extras from that Run survived production, they'll be listed there in the sizes actually available.
If it isn't in the Parts Bin, you'll have to hope we decide to bring it back someday.
DO YOU TAKE CUSTOM T-SHIRT ORDERS?
FPVW is primarily focused on our own Production Runs and automotive merchandise.
We may occasionally work with car clubs, automotive shops, events, race teams, creators and other projects that fit FPVW.
If you have something interesting in mind, contact us.
CAN I SUBMIT A DESIGN OR SHIRT IDEA?
We're working on it.
Eventually we'd like FPVW Production Runs to include collaborations with automotive artists and ideas submitted by fellow car people.
Keep an eye on the site for our Submit Art program.
DO YOU WORK WITH CAR CLUBS OR AUTOMOTIVE CREATORS?
We're interested.
If you have a club, automotive social account, YouTube channel, shop, race team or event and want to create a limited Production Run together, send us a message through Contact FPVW.
Tell us who you are, what you do and what you have in mind.

Foreign Policy started in Valdosta, Georgia in 2001 and later made its way south.
FPVW is now based in Fort Myers, Florida.
