How Production Runs Work

COOL SHIRTS. SMALL RUNS. NO WAREHOUSE FULL OF LEFTOVERS.

FPVW doesn’t print hundreds of shirts and hope somebody eventually buys them.

Instead, we release new designs in limited Production Runs. You order what you want while the Run is open. When it closes, we order the blanks we need, fire up the DTG printer, and make the shirts.

Pretty simple.

01 / WE RELEASE IT

Every FPVW Production Run features a small group of new automotive designs.

Each Run is numbered:

RUN 001
RUN 002
RUN 003

You get the idea.

Every Production Run has a clearly posted closing date. Until then, you can order any available design in your size.

02 / YOU ORDER IT

See something you want?

Order it before the Production Run closes.

Your order reserves your shirt in that Run. Because we haven’t already filled a warehouse with every possible size and color, your shirt isn’t sitting on a shelf waiting to ship.

It gets made for you.

Please check the size guide before ordering. Since we produce shirts based on the sizes ordered, exchanges depend on the extras we have available after production.

03 / THE RUN CLOSES

When the countdown hits zero:

PRODUCTION RUN CLOSED.

We total everything up and know exactly what we need.

That’s what we order.

No guessing. No mountains of leftover blanks.

04 / WE MAKE IT

This is when a Production Run actually becomes a production run.

The blanks arrive at FPVW and we start printing.

Your shirts are DTG printed in-house by FPVW. We handle the printing, curing, quality control and packing ourselves.

No mystery print-on-demand warehouse.

No box of 500 finished shirts sitting around before the design ever goes on sale.

You ordered it. We make it.

05 / WE SHIP IT

Once your shirt passes inspection, we pack it up and send it your way.

You’ll receive tracking information when your order leaves FPVW.

Each Production Run has an estimated production timeline posted before you order so you’ll know approximately when to expect your shirt.

Remember: production time and shipping time are separate.

We have to make it before the carrier can deliver it.

06 / THE RUN BECOMES HISTORY

After production is finished, the Run closes for good and moves into the:

FPVW PRODUCTION RUN ARCHIVE

We’ll record the designs, date and final number produced.

For example:

RUN 001
AIR-COOLED AFFAIRS
AUGUST 2026
93 PRODUCED
STATUS: CLOSED

Some designs may eventually make another appearance.

Some won’t.

If you really want something, ordering it during the Production Run is your safest bet.

WHAT ABOUT THE EXTRAS?

We keep a small number of additional shirts during production for printing problems, damaged shirts and possible size exchanges.

If good shirts survive after everything is finished, they may appear in:

THE PARTS BIN

Parts Bin inventory is already printed and ready to ship, but sizes and quantities are limited.

Once those are gone, they’re gone.

WHY DO IT THIS WAY?

Because FPVW would rather make more interesting designs than spend money filling shelves with shirts nobody asked for.

Limited Production Runs allow us to:

    ●    Make more designs in smaller quantities
    ●    Keep unnecessary inventory to a minimum
    ●    Print based on what customers actually order
    ●    Produce the shirts ourselves
    ●    Keep each Run a little different from the last

Most importantly, it lets a small family-run automotive business make cool stuff without pretending we’re a giant clothing company.

THE SHORT VERSION

WE RELEASE IT.

YOU ORDER IT.

THE RUN CLOSES.

WE PRINT IT.

WE SHIP IT.

IT ENTERS THE ARCHIVE.

Then we start working on the next "bad" idea.
