Our simplify shirt design was a favorite when we first released it back in 2012. It is designed from a photo of Mike Childress's 1959 euro ragtop. He liked the look of beetles without decklids on them, and he wanted all 36 horses to get a lot of fresh air while ripping down the street. So he made the decklid removable using tractor pins in the hinges and wingnuts on the license plate. The simplify design was born. The beetle has since been sold but it is definitely one that got away.
